                    History of Printmaking

When i think of the word printmaking is like a machine that people uses to print out there images and messages but as i was searching and i found that printmaking is duplication of images by mean of stamp in very early times. The use of round cylinder seals for rolling an impress onto clay tablets for example.

As you can see this printing is an earliest woodblock printed fragments from China and are of silk printed with flowers in three colours from the Han Dynasty.

Heading: La Goulue

This printing Lithography is a technique invented in 1798 by Alois Senefelderand based on the chemical repulsion of oil and water. A porous surface, normally limestone, is used, the image is drawn on the limestone with a greasy medium.
